The Australiasian Refinement Workshop 2001 (ARW'01) will provide a forum for discussion of current research on mathematically-based techniques for the design and development of computer systems.   The workshop will be held on Monday 10 December with an extension to Tuesday 11 December given sufficient interest. More information is available from the workshop web site:

  • teaching
  • evaluation
  • tool support
  • development
  • prover support
  • industrial use
  • novel applications
  • technology transfer
of mathematical approaches to
  • refinement

  • animation
  • specification
in realms such as
  • parallel and sequential programming
  • functional and logic programming
  • communication and security protocols
  • object-oriented systems
  • real-time, reactive and hybrid systems
  • hardware products and components

Submission

Initial submissions of abstracts should take the form of a one page abstract which will be judged for relevance to the workshop.   The submission of papers is optional to allow for attendees who wish to provide only a presentation.  Papers should be at most 15 pages.  Abstracts and papers can be submitted by e-mailing them to arw@itee.uq.edu.au.  Postgraduate students are especially encouraged to submit.
