What’s New:

Quiz 3 added 17 June 2004.

This page contains pointers to quizzes for preparation for the exam.

General Quiz

As in the exam:

  • multiple-choice
  • if more than one answer could apply, only the best answer will be accepted – for example:

x. The answer to the fundamental question of life, the universe and everything is

a    the planet Earth
b    42
c    unknowable
d    it depends what the question is
e    b and d
Clearly, here the correct answer is e (b and d are correct, if you know your Hitchhikers’s Guide to the Galaxy) – so e should be selected. Although either b or d would be correct, they are not individually the most accurate answer, since either is correct.

Examples

  • Quiz 3 (Deadlocks, paging and VM, file systems)
  • Quiz 2 (OS structure, scheduling and mutual exclusion)
  • Quiz 1 (general)
