 Marks

Grades are available via the following link. You will be asked to authenticate with your UQ username and password, and will then be taken to a page with your available grades so far and any comments that have been entered.

Grades for assessment during the semester identify your work as being of a particular standard from the following list:

  • Fail
  • Pass
  • Credit
  • Distinction
  • High Distinction

Within each category, there may be a further qualifier of + or - to indicated that the work is respectively at the upper or lower bounds of the category. If you do not see a + or - after your grade, then it is in the middle of the band. So, for example, Pass - means that the work was just adequate for a passing grade, whereas Pass indicates that the work was clearly of satisfactory quality. With Failing grades, the Fail -, Fail, Fail + can be treated as equivalent to grades 1, 2, and 3.

Important note

The grades are all considered provisional until they are finalised at the end of semester following the exam. They have been through initial moderation, but will be revisited before marks are uploaded. As such, they should only be seen as an indication of your performance on the assessment, rather than the final mark you will receive. It is highly unlikely that grades will drop, but possible for them to go up, particularly in the case of work submitted via blogger and other social software sites (reflection and participation) where we have had cases in the past of comments and activity being missed.
