25/8/2011 |
The mid-semester exam will be
held during the first hour of the lecture (2-3pm) on Tuesday 30 August in
42-115. Following the exam (3-4pm) I will discuss Assignment 1. It is a closed book exam
covering the material presented in weeks 1-5. There will be 20 multiple
choice questions and you will have 5 minutes of perusal then 45 minutes to
answer the questions. Remember to bring a 2B pencil. Note that this exam is
optional for students enrolled in COMP3702 and compulsory for students
enrolled in COMP7702. I have put up the
mid-semester exam from 2009, for which I will not be providing answers. Note
that this exam only covered weeks 1-4. |

Results for the
Mid-Semester Exam are now up. |

8/9/2011 |
When completing the answer sheet
for the mid-semester exam I made a mistake in the answer to Question 15, the
alpha-beta pruning question. I said that a branch will be pruned 1 time using
alpha-beta pruning, but the correct answer is that a branch will be pruned 2
times. I have adjusted your marks to take this into account, so your result
may have changed by 0.5 marks. |
