• Eliminating the Need for Transistors – “crossbar latch” claimed by HP Labs to eliminate the need for transistors, opening the way to move beyond limits of current process techologies (February 2005)
• Magnetoresistive RAM (MRAM) – based on ferromagnetic principles but on a microscopic scale
