ELEC1000 - Practical Laboratory Exam Information.

 

 

1. The practical exam is in your normal practical session in the normal lab 50-S202.

Half the class do the exam in week 11 (16-20 May), the other half in week 12 (23-27 May).  You will do the exam individually.

2.  The exam is OPEN BOOK – you can bring any material that you like into the class, such as notes, previous practical results, textbooks, etc.  You may bring any type of calculator.  A pencil and eraser will be useful.

 

3.  You may also use the PC in the laboratory to access the ELEC1000 website only.  Obviously you are not allowed to use the computer for email, messaging, or other communication applications, and you are not allowed to make phone calls!  You cannot use your own laptop.

 

4.  You have 90 minutes working time for the exam, but it should only take most people about 30-60 minutes.

If you have a reasonable excuse for missing the session, we may be able to schedule an alternate session.

 

6.  The practical exam will be similar to the work done in experiment 8.
