Lecture Notes
The
lecture notes are presented here on a lecture by lecture basis. The
printed notes are provided in Acrobat pdf format with 1 slide(s) displayed per
page for maximum clarity. The best way to use the notes would be to print them in
advance of the class, so you can annotate the printed notes with personal notes
to aid your understanding of topics. Since this subject is always a work in
progress, I will be writing some of the notes as the course progresses - so
don't print out the lectures too far ahead. I plan to put the lecture
notes on the web a week ahead of delivery in class.
The notes are provided on the Web as a service to students. If you wish to
obtain printed copies, you can 1) download the pdf files and print
them on your home computer, 2) print them from the computers in the libraries
(about 10c per page), or 3) print off 1 set and then photocopy them for
distribution within your student group. You will need Acroread (free download) to view and print the
Acrobat files.
If you
decide to print from the 1 slide per page format, you can use the multiple
slides per page options in your printer driver (if available) to produce more
slides per page at your discretion (six per page seems good). On the ITEE
network, this option is available through the properties dialog of the printer.
