Setting
up Evolution 2.0 email client on Linux to access ITEE Email.
Just follow the steps shown to configure your evolution client to
access ITEE email from anywhere (within ITEE and from Home).1. Start evolution and you will be greeted with the setup assistant as shown below.

2. Just follow the instructions in the
setup wizard (click the forward button)
3. Fill in the details as shown in figure. 2 (below)

3. Click forward,
for server type: select IMAP
enter the host: sslmail@itee.uq.edu.au:993 (missing 'l' in host name in figure 3)
Username: as shown in figure 3.
Use Secure Connection (SSL) : select 'always'

4. Click forward,
In figure 4 (below) select 'if you want automatic checking of mail every 10 minutes`. You might want to select/de-select other options.

5. Click forward and fill in the
'sending mail' options follow figure 5 (below). Make sure to select
'Use Secure Connection (SSL): to always. You may or may not want to
select 'Remember password'.

6. click forward and follow figure 6

7. Click forward and mouse hover over
the dots marked over Australia to give you a tool-tip with
Australia/city. Select (click on)
'Australia/Brisbane'.

8. Click forward and follow figure 8.
Then click apply

9. Evolution mail will loadup (see
figure 9) and will
ask for your password [if remember password was not selected (figure
5)]. Now all your
email will be under the name ['ITEE EMAIL' (Name comes from figure.
6)].

10. If everything is *OK* goto 11.
If you have *PROBLEMS* select 'Tools->Settings' from the menu, then select your email account and click Edit which will openup the 'evolution account editor' (see figure 10) and check if you have entered all the details correctly.

Mozilla Thunderbird also supports IMAP with SSL download Mozilla thundebird.
