[microblaze-uclinux] Low cost uClinux Microblaze platform (existence or interest ??)
Hi,
I have been looking around for a low price development board
to use with the (uClinux) Microblaze architecture. So far most I have
found have been upwards of $ 600.00
I was looking into designing my own, using a Spartan 2E or
Spartan 3 device. Of course sdram, flash, ethernet, would
be provided and other connections would be available at connectors.
I would like to have a target price of around $ 250.00 for a dev. board.
Also I have been looking at a designing something similar
to the above into a smaller form factor that could be plugged
into a system, much like the Rabbit modules from Rabbit Semiconductor.
This would allow people to 'drop' in a customizable
SOC into their designs, and depending on their knowledge
either modify the logic as needed or just leave it alone.
It would be similar to using the 8-bit Rabbit, but having
a powerful 32-bit processor with an operating system (uClinux etc.)
Anyone interested in something like one of the above?
Is there a development board already available for under $250.00
that is suitable for uClinux Microblaze development?
Thanks,
David
