AW: [microblaze-uclinux] Ethernet MAC

Hi Yashi,

I just checked out your link to the DM9000. Why do you think the dm9000 is not the best mac/phy chip?

Regards
Jan

we know that dm9000 is not the best mac/phy chip. if you know some other 100baseT chip for isa bus, let us know!

other choice might be using pci.

pros:
- you might have more chips to choose from

cons:
- host controler takes some gates in fpga

any other thoughts are always welcome ;)

we thought about smsc. It's more expensive than dm9k for us :(
