[microblaze-uclinux] uClibc vs. newlib

I am working on putting together a clean build script for the
microblaze-uclinux toolchain and I have a couple of questions for the
group.

1. I assume that we need to build a toolchain with uClibc rather than
newlib. Am I missing something? It looks like uClibc (at least the
version under ucLinux-dist in CVS) can be configured to build a
microblaze version.

2. Does the EDK (specifically 6.1) contain the latest gnu sources for
the toolchain? Hopefully my board and EDK will be here tomorrow but I
grow impatient. :-)

Thanks,
