RE: [microblaze-uclinux] Spartan IIe
This is somewhat off-topic for microblaze-uclinux and probably better
posted on the Xilinx forum for embedded microprocessors. Having said
that, it should work. Take a look at the posts at xilinx searching for
external memory and/or emc and see if any of these address your problem.
Common errors are from data width matching or address alignment.

Can you please let me know whether CY7C1041BV33-12ZC is compatible with
emc core. I am trying to connect this with my board. But i am not able
to do it sucessfully.

This would be an uphill battle at best. If there is a minimum amount of
required bram then you may not be able to do so as the XC2S200E has only
14 blocks, 8 of which are available for instruction and data cache. I
don't think it is possible to have multiple bram block groups to serve
this purpose. Also, the memory boards from digilent are not exactly
compatible with the emc core. You can get the SRAM to work, but the
flash is another story. Since they share control lines, you will either
need a custom core interface, or get two boards with 1MB of SRAM on one
and 1MB of flash on the other (you just have to ask them to build it
this way, it's a listed configuration). By looking through the past
emails, it seems that you will need this much memory anyways to have a
somewhat useful system. I have one of the setups and just doing
something more! than trivial stuff is a task. I am still working through
data width issues with the memory. Once I get something rolling I'd be
glad to share it, but I don't plan to put linux on it. I have other
boards for that.
Hope this helps and good luck.

I'm trying to implement microblaze running uClinux on a Digilab 2e/
Spartan IIe XC2S200E. What I need to do? Is there someone that did this
Thanks in advance!
