Re: [microblaze-uclinux] FW: Memec 2VP7+Net with slow boot terminal

Thanks Roberto. I saw that PDF before, looks great to get introduced in microblaze uclinux. I will try your hardware file that
only has SDRAM to see if that make the main terminal boot up correctly. However, I'll try the basic MB1K uclinux settings (no
net) since your hardware configuration files (in the V2P7 vendor directory) doesn't support networking. Also I don't care about
the net since I know that part works fine

It looks something related to the TTY main console conflicting with some in the kernel just after the romfs is created. No sure
if is hardware of soft yet.. I'll keep looking in it.

One thing I noted is that the version 2.4.27 I am using reports this caches in boot up.

Dentry cache hash table entries: 4096 (order: 3, 32768 bytes)
Inode cache hash table entries: 2048 (order: 2, 16384 bytes)
Mount cache hash table entries: 512 (order: 0, 4096 bytes)
Buffer cache hash table entries: 1024 (order: 0, 4096 bytes)
Page-cache hash table entries: 8192 (order: 3, 32768 bytes)

If I set or not cache in the uclinux configuration doesn't change these numbers, but affects to the bogomips loop that goes
from 33 down to 3.8. I saw in other logs you guys reported they are more like:

Dentry cache hash table entries: 2048 (order: 2, 16384 bytes)
Inode cache hash table entries: 1024 (order: 1, 8192 bytes)
Mount cache hash table entries: 512 (order: 0, 4096 bytes)
Buffer cache hash table entries: 1024 (order: 0, 4096 bytes)
Page-cache hash table entries: 4096 (order: 2, 16384 bytes)

Is this related to some in the kernel or strict to my mhs definitions? My hard defined cash is 16K+16K, however I saw the XC2V1K
mhs distribution doesn't set cache at all and stills most reports show cash.

Thanks,

Rick.
