Re: [microblaze-uclinux] ML300 board?

Hello All,

I'm new to the list but I've been browsing the archives and I'm really
excited. This looks like an awesome resource and I appreciate all
the contributions/contributors.

About three months ago it looks like John built a kernel and a bit
file for an ML300. As a proud new recipient of an ML310 board, I'm
really excited. I've played around with the MLV kernel that comes
pre-built and naturally the first thing I would like to do is build
a something more free. (I especially like John's second point in
his initial email.)

So now I have a decision to make. I originally was just going to use a
stock 2.6.9 kernel and figure out what PPC patches I would have to get and
then just strong arm my way through to a stable kernel. I hadn't considered
uClinux (since the PPC has an MMU) but if John has already put it as an
option in the menuconfig ... wow, that sounds like the easiest route possible!

So I'm really interested: John/Jingzhao-- how did that test work
out? If there were glitches, I'd be happy to start with what you've
got and begin investigating on our board.

Ron

| Dear John,
|
| I have both ML300 and ML310 boards. I am very interested in working with
| you. Would you please tell me how we should proceed?
|
| I am also interested in making uCLinux working on the MicroBlaze
| configured on the ML300 board.

| Best regards,
