Rick,
Only thing I need the source code for
a benchmark I can run with out uclinux installed. I know I can use
the one in the uclinux distribution once I get uclinux running. So overall
what I am looking for is some source code that will compile and can be
run directly on the powerpc and the microblaze on the memec board.
The issue I have is I have some benchmark
that is running and is a drystone but I can not get the calculations correct
for the timer. Does anyone now how the opb_timer measures. I
am using the get command but what exactly is it returning since the data
sheets do not really tell. I thing if I can get an exact answer to
this I can get it working.
Right now the best guess we have is
that it measures clock cycles and runs at 100mhz or what ever speed the
opb bus is running. So ifthis is the case each clock cycle is equivalent
to 10ns. But not sure this is 100% correct. Any help about
the timer would be great.
Thank
Brett

RE: [microblaze-uclinux]
bechmarks
If you do a search
on the UQ web site for Dhrystones or Bogomips there are a lot of reports
for different implementations. I think to remember my V2P7 board to perform
near 60 DMIPS or 50 BogoMIPS at 100MHz.

I was wondering if anyone had some benchmarks that will run on the microblaze
processor. Prior to placing uclinux on the board I would liek to
benckmark the microblaze. I need to run a benchmark on the microblaze
and the ppc on a memec 2vp7 board for a paper to state some performance
results between the 2.
Thanks
