I seem to remember someone reporting a similar problem previously - I 
have not tried using the uClinux MLD/TCL within the XPS GUI - I just do 
it in text on system.mss.

I'll see if I can look into it at some point, but for now I recommend 
that you work on the MSS file directly.  The parameters required for the 
uClinux MLD are small in number, and pretty obvious in meaning, with 
examples available in both the ml401 and uclinux-auto reference platforms.
