Hi All, I am going to start work soon on getting u-boot
working with MicroBlaze on the ML401. I wanted to ping you guys to see if anyone has approached this
topic before? U-boot has a PowerPC background, and I have worked
with it quite a bit on the V2Pro with the IBM 405, and MontaVista Linux. Its great for
Linux development, as it allows kernel image and ramdisk image to remain separate, and then allow the
bootloader to select which image to use on startup, and also determine boot commandline
arguments. Additionally, there is support for Xilinx Ethernet, Xilinx
iic, spi xmodem Kermit download of flash images etc! – All in all a fantastic bootloader. I can see that in the u-boot distribution there is a
Suzaku directory, and some porting to MicroBlaze has been done. Has anyone used this – any
tips / limitations? Many thanks Kris -- |
