Double-check your clocking and reset circuits.  In particular, make sure 
of the polarity of your external reset, and that it is consistent with 
the various cores in your system (microblaze, busses, the FSL/MDM 
channel), and so on.  I note for example that the download_link FSL has 
"EXT_RESET_HIGH=0", but your microblaze doesn't.  So, there's something 
to check straight away.

You'll definitely want to get some simple test programs (esp. memory 
test) running directly on microblaze before you go for the full kernel.
