Ok, I added 32MB SDRAM and it seems to test ok, well, the first 10MB that I
did test tested ok.

But I still end up with this:

I have looked at the config file that you posted, and I did model my kernel
after it, although I use uclinux_auto and not mbvanilla. My kernel is around
600KB and romfs is 150KB though.

But I think I should add ram to the board, get it up and running, then cut
it down to fit in the 1MB again.

I did get the stack out of the board last night and it is:
Bootmem_init
Bootmem_init
Bootmem_init
<and lots more Bootmem_init>
Find_bootmap_pfn
__bug
Machine_halt

What worries me is that the __bug function should print on the console where
it happened, but I get nothing. CONFIG_NO_KERNEL_MSG is not set...

But I'll add more ram and start again...

You need to make the kernel MUCH smaller to be able to run in 1MB of
RAM.  It can be done, but it'll take some work.  Check out some of my
posts from a few months back.
