we found it out the hard way also - 4.0 is just
unuseable. Random crashes.
After downgrading to 3.0 no problems.
is now really working with networking support !!

No problems here. I run MB 4.00.a under
7.1, with the latest ucLinux cvs snap shoot (well, three weeks old
snapshot).
I started with 6.3 and MB 3.0 first, than moved over to
7.1 and gradu! ally upgraded all cores as well. Didn't have to
make any changes to my compile scripts, only the HW synthesis
scripts had to be slightly modified
...
