To clarify - I built the hardware with EDK7.1, but compiled the kernel 
and apps with mb-gcc based EDK6.3 (the custom toolchain distributed on 
the website).

mb-gcc in EDK6.x is gcc v2.95 - in EDK7.1 it's gcc-3.4.x .  This is 
quite a significant change.   Traffic on uClinux-dev list indicates a 
few arches experiencing issues with gcc-3.4.x, so I don't think it's 
just us.

I hope to have a fix for the EDK7.1 mb-gcc soon - will let you know.  In 
the meantime, I've found no problems building HW with 7.1, and compiling 
kernels with older mb-gcc.  once you get your tools installed and path 
configured, it's invisible anyway.
