During kernel build, I have been making an effort in trying to configure the 
settings to match that of David Banas'.

At kernel boot, 'dhcpcd' is started automatically but the wrong IP address 
is assigned.  However, immediately after boot, if 'dhcpcd' is started 
manually then the problem is resolved.  Thoughts?
