[microblaze-uclinux] Debugging uClinux apps with GDB

I am successfully running Microblaze uClinux on my board, and am
starting to write and test applications.  I have been looking online for
advice on how to use GDB to debug application code running on my board,
but can't find much.  Does anyone have experience setting this up and
doing it?  

I have been using GDB for native Microblaze applications, and know how
to do it for uClinux kernel debugging, but what about application
programs?  Thanks for any insights.
