Hi,
I'm using Xilinx tools 7.1 on Suse 9.1.
Like you I have trouble to get fast download speed.
I tried to build and install the driver for kernel 2.6 (there is a FAQ 
on this subject here 
http://www.fpga-faq.org/FAQ_Pages/0044_Xilinx_Parallel_on_Linux.htm), 
but Impact continue to complains
that xpc4drv is not loaded and runs at 200KHz (Parallel cable III mode).

Does anyone has tried the Xilinx USB cable with Linux kernel 2.6?
