This is why we are using CentOS 3 (equiv to RHEL 3), and the 2.4 kernel,
in our lab.  I don't have a solution for you I'm afraid.  It might be
worth asking on comp.arch.fpga, since it's not just microblaze/linux
people who'll be seeing this.
