Let me guess, you're attempting to build the Insight/mbvanilla target?

It's an ancient, and essentially unsupported target.  These days
everyone uses Xilinx/uclinux-auto, for all sorts of good reasons.

I'll check a fix into CVS, but you really want to go the uclinux-auto
approach, much better in the long run.
