RE: [microblaze-uclinux] Console output via opb_mdm JTAG Uart
Hi Paul,
I haven't tried this example - however, in other designs we have
produced - I have noticed that the XMD OPB_MDM combination seems to
require a Carriage-Return and/or LineFeed to get data from the OPB_MDM
fifos and up into XMD.
Perhaps this is the issue?

Subject: [microblaze-uclinux] Console output via opb_mdm JTAG Uart
Hi all,
I'm working on multi-microblaze designs and would like to use the
opb_mdm
JTAG Uart for uclinux console I/O.
I edit the auto-config.in file and switch the Baseaddr, Highaddr, and
Irq
for the normal uartlite and opb_mdm. However, some characters are
missing
in the boot messages on the xmd jtag-terminal and I cannot type anything
in
at the command prompt.
I can stop the processor in xmd and the program counter is often in the
idle
loop so I infer the processor and kernel are running correctly.
Has anyone else attempted this?
Thanks.
Paul
