i think the partition is ok in this case.
but i think mr. sigi and others forgot to enabled the "direct char
device access support" in kernel config.
so if u want to use flatfsd than u can try with this feature enabled.
i think it will be ok.

Hi Sigi,
flatfsd expects there to be a writeable flash partition on
/dev/flash/config. All of the standard mb-uclinux MTD flash maps
(drivers/mtd/maps/mb_auto.c for example) create such a partition.
The message you are seeing "failed to write flatfs, no such device" says
that you don't have a flash partition in place.
If you don't want to use flatfsd, simply disable it in the user/vendor
-> misc applications menuconfig.
There's a great intro to flatfsd on ucdot.org, let me try to find
