[microblaze-uclinux] An aside
Friends,
Just out of curiocity, I want to ask the forum what backgrounds people
come from. Soft microprocessors in particular, but also processors in
general, attempt to turn a hardware problem into one that is tractable in a
software environment. Everyone seems fluent in linux and the general usage
of OSes, something that my EE degree has not prepared me for. So my question
is, did you come from a hardware design to uClinux, or a software design, or
some of both?
.. and don't feel obligated to give me a dissertation, just curious.
In terms of the IRC channel, I'll look into setting one up, but I think John
is right about how much of the info would pass by that would be useful and
how much time people should consciously devote to maintaining it. From my
standpoint its free and just a nice way to say "hey" at odd hours. Clearly
you have already debated the issue and this is why we use this forum instead
:D
Thanks,
Andy
