The FPGA bit file is already stored in Flash and executed at boot time.
then my bootloader starts looking for a image.bin file into Compact Flash and copy it in ram.

Yes of course formatted my 16MB CF with the following:
c: mkdosfs -v -F 16 -T 1 -s 2 -n XLXN_XUP E:
