Are you using the OPB_SPI core, or just bit-banging through a GPIO?
There are SPI drivers in the kernel tree, though not specifically for
the Xilinx OPB_SPI core.
It could be worth checking out the old montavista 2_4_devel PPC tree, I
have a feeling there's a driver in there that would not be difficult to
bring across.
