Hi Wade,
Just further to this:
I downloaded all the ISO images for centos from the pacific.net mirror
last month.
When I went to burn the images with Nero Start Smart, tonight, Binary
disk 1
appeared to reset half way though the burn. It did this twice.
Binary disk 2 just hung half way though.
I downloaded Daemon tools and managed to mount the iso disk images ok,
but I guess that does not test the integrity of the entire ISO image.
Has anyone had any problem burning Centos 4.3 images with Nero ?
I'm using Nero OEM 6.3.1.26 and In CD 4.12.2.1
John.

Also, if you decide to do the VMWare route, the centos
(http://www.centos.org) distro is exactly like RHEL3.0, except
branding identification has been removed from the code (after a
warning letter from RedHat), but is free. They also handle updates
so updates from RedHat are not used.
With MontaVista, their install script looks at /etc/issue to
determine if it is RedHat or not. If you look at their install
script, there is an option to point it to a file that tells the
install script if it can install on that machine. At this point, you
can have a working Linux install of MontaVista, and if you need, the
John Williams toolchain, running under Windows. It makes a nice
development environment.
