May I suguest bringing up a git server to host development. I do nto
wish to profess to be a git expert yet - for the most part I prefer
subversion, but most linux kernel development is done with git and
whatever its other idiosyncracies it is well suited to the needs and
desires of linux kernel development.
All of my Pico work so far has been based on Linus's linux-2.6.git
tree on kernel.org and while again I am not proficient, it has proven
usable without huge amounts of learning.
most of what you are missing sounds like icing to me. It is my
expertation that with few exceptions the MicroBlaze hardware
configuration I will be dealing with will closely track the ppc405
configuration. I am expecting to reuse most of the BSP and drivers.
Currently I have been stalled as Pico tries to get out a new
milestone release that is requiring massive amounts of testing on my
part and minor fixes to me GreenHills and Linux BSP's.
But I am hoping very soon to start working on MicroBlaze.
