[microblaze-uclinux] ### NAND FLASH
Hi Folks,
I would like the use a NAND flash device with the uClinux 2.4 or 2.6
codeset. I assume the 2.4 probably has wider support for this.
Has anyone done this already? If not, does anyone have a rough list of what
files we should start playing with to enable NAND flash support?
Does anyone also know if the 2.4/2.6 kernel supports a flash file system
over to a SPI based flash device? I seem to see references to such.
I haven't really dug into the guts of this yet, so I wanted to ask first.
We have an OPB NAND Controller and OPB SPI FLASH controller that we will be
releasing under the FREE-FROM-FLE program soon. They operate fine outside of
Linux, but I would like to add Linux support for these devices.
We should also be releasing a Linux driver for our FREE-FROM-FLE MAC core as
well...soon.
Can anyone help port these to 2.6? I think it would be minor.
What about that 2.6 GIT tree? Has there been any progress?
Thanks
Steve Spano
