The evaluation licenses for $$ cores like the ethernet MAC expire in
March each year - you need to either install the latest version of EDK
or get a license from Xilinx.
Xilinx is typically pretty generous with donations to Universities, but
there is an application/review process to go through. Speak to the
person in your lab who is responsible for acquiring the Xilinx EDK/ISE
software, they are probably your Xilinx University Prorgam contact point.
