[microblaze-uclinux] mb-ld: unregognised emulation mode

Greetings,
this is my first post to the list, so bear with me if I'm doing
something incorrectly :)

I fetched the source distribuition from petalogix and compiled it
under ubuntu 7.04 with gcc-3.4.

I didn't modify the sources. The only adjustment was to change RELDIR
to /usr/local/microblaze-elf-tools and BINDIR to ${RELDIR]/bin for
newlib.

Then I compiled binutils, gcc, newlib and uclinux.

Now, when I attempt to compile some source with mb-gcc I get the
following error:

/usr/local/microblaze-elf-tools/lib/gcc/microblaze/3.4.1/../../../../microblaze/bin/ld.real:
unrecognised emulation mode:
Supported emulations: elf32microblaze

I am fairly new to cross-compiling so I don't have many clued of what
might be wrong here. Can someone point me how to fix this or get more
info on the problem?

Thanks in advance.
cheers,
