what memory interface controller is used in the ML505 design? And are you using the PetaLinux BSPs from the PetaLinux package, or the old "uClinux" BSP?
My guess is that the ML505 is using a newer memory controller that has nt been added to the old uClinux BSP / MLD scripts. If you can confirm which memory controller etc I can tell you how to fix it.
