bash won't work for nommu.  I just suggested it as a shell syntax you
might try to copy.  For shells on uClinux you are stuck with msh, and
the other simple shell
(user/sh)

I suggest you use config files - you can do easy stuff like

ifconfig eth0 `cat /var/ipaddr`
