That disabling refers to the automatic configuration of a JFFS2 root 
filesystem, which is not currently supported in PetaLinux.  JFFS2 as a 
filesystem is supported as part of the core kernel, and if you want to 
set it up yourself, you can mount root there.  But, we don't currently 
automagically generate such a configuration for you.
