Re: [microblaze-uclinux] About Petalinux and CentOS 5
Hi,
I installed now on Fedora 7 (kernel 2-6.21-1) the petalinux-v0.20-rc3 package
and the Xilinx tools: EDK and ISE WebPack 8.2i
The problem is with the USB cabel driver.
Here is my solution, in nutshell, step-by-step:
Here is the official Xilinx support page,
for the 2.6 kernels, Answer record #23541
http://www.xilinx.com/xlnx/xil_ans_display.jsp?iLanguageID=1&iCountryID=1&getPagePath=23541
I red this tutorial:
http://svenand.blogdrive.com/archive/40.html
He choosed the Ubuntu 7.01 for his fpga developing tutorials. On this page
http://svenand.blogdrive.com/archive/55.html
he explains step by step the install a user-space usb cabel driver, from Michael Gernoth.
The main website of this driver is located here:
http://www.rmdir.de/~michael/xilinx/
I choosed to install this driver too.
This usb cabel driver need the libusb-devel package:
yum update libusb-devel*
The
drives,s last version can get from here:
git clone git://git.zerfleddert.de/usb-driver
To start the iMPACT it is important to use this pleroload command:
LD_PRELOAD=/path/to/libusb-driver.so impact
This install procedure works for me, :-)
