Is the ethernet_lite working correctly on ML505 apart from DHCP?  Can 
you manually assign and IP address and ping to/from the board, telnet etc?

How about u-boot, is it also hapyp with the enetlite on the ML505?

There's nothing board specific in the Linux driver that would be causing 
this.  Check your P&R output for failed constraints maybe, and obviously 
double check your hardware design.
