I think Navanee was just suggesting the possibility of this community
generally being a source of possible projects.

I don't know if that was Navanee's specific intent, but perhaps. I
would be happy to mentor an appropriate project, but it would have to be
remotely unless we can find an Australia student.

I don't think so. The rules basically say "you have to have valid
permits for the country where you will perform the work".

If a particular sponsor wanted a student on-site, and that student was
international (and met visa requirements for the host country), then I
suppose it would be the sponsor's burden to carry.

I didn't get the impression anything had actually been arranged - it was
just an idea (and a good one), but maybe a bit late for any realistic
action this year :(
