Re: [microblaze-uclinux] Bad page state in process

Hi John, thanks for your interest and your great work.

I can confirm that memory address and size are being recognized properly
by the Petalinux autoconf procedure.

No override is occurring in file system.mss and the option
CONFIG_XILINX_UNCACHED_SHADOW is disabled.
I have enabled CONFIG_LARGE_ALLOCS because without it snmpd won't run,
complaining it cannot allocate enough memory.

I'm wondering if it would be a good idea trying with the petalinux-mmu
version, in which case I would have to upgrade my current hardware
project to use the plb bus instead of the opb one.

It could probably be a hardware issue, because I can succesfully boot
the generated kernel on both the Spartan3E evaluation board and my
custom board. On the evaluation board i cannot reproduce the problem,
while I can crash my custom board. The main difference is about the ram
family (DDR on the eval board and SDRAM on custom board).

I'll try to investigate a bit more.
Thanks for any suggestion you could provide (and for what you already
did).

Best regards,
Giulio
