Just an update,
I changed the filesystem from cramfs to romfs. And it booted and
everything seems to work.
Only thing was that the image became larger from ~4MB to ~6MB. Other
than that it seems it is fairly safe to use romfs instead cramfs?
This also confirms my suspicion about zlib. Becuase installing in
ubuntu zlib1g-dev is not the solution. We are cross-compiling right? I
should link to the zlib in the petalinux distribution.
