Well, to be honest I was using a custom hardware based on this board.
After having tried with the evaluation board I was not able to reproduce
the bug and got conviced it would not be a PetaLinux issue.

In fact I was getting this issue when booting from flash after power-on.
If i issued a hardware reset (by short-circuiting two pins) after some
time of system uptime (even few seconds) the next time the issue was
gone.
I suspect a hardware issue with reset pins on my board.

I'll investigate more since I could get the same behaviour a few times
even when booting from JTAG.

Anyway sorry for not having done extensive test before posting to the
mailing list.
