[microblaze-uclinux] Change to list policy
Hi folks,
For those who missed it, MicroBlaze got merged into Linus's 2.6.30-rc2
tree yesterday! This is big news, and a big thanks to Michal for the
great work he did on LKML to get it sheparded in, and thanks also to
Xilinx who supported us to make this happen.
As a result of going mainline, there will be times when people on
LKML, who are not subscribed to this list, will want to cc: stuff
here.
So, it's time to change a long-held policy that closes list
submissions to subscribers only. The reason for this policy has been
spam reduction, however the reality is today that anybody without
decent spam removal filters will be drowning anyway, so the chance of
a little more coming from this list is not likely to make much
difference overall.
If it proves to be a real problem we'll reconsider, but otherwise in
the interests of more flexible interactions with LKML, Michal's
convinced me it's the right way forward.
Cheers,
John
