Re: [microblaze-uclinux] Problem in PetaLinux booting
Hi,
I have been reading this thread because I'm experiencing the same
problems that Thierry. When I boot the kernel, it stops in:
## Booting image at 8c0c0000 ...
Image Name: PetaLinux Kernel 2.6
Image Type: Microblaze Linux Kernel Image (uncompressed)
Data Size: 2285604 Bytes = 2.2 MB
Load Address: 90000000
Entry Point: 90000000
Verifying Checksum ... OK
OK
I tought that it could be a problem of my board but, if I reset the
board, I can see again:
Board Info Start:0x9ff5ffd0
Boot Parameters Start:0x9ff4ffd0
FLASH: 32 MB
ETHERNET: MAC:00:0a:35:00:22:01
Hit any key to stop autoboot: 0

I was wondering if the final solution was only to activate 'support
for console on Xilinx uartlite serial port'. It is extrange to me
because it is activated in my kernel but the problem is still there.
I am actually working with XtremeDSP Spartan3A-dsp 3400 kit. The thing
is that, some weeks ago, I worked with a ML405 board and everything
was fine, I could see the linux login on the console. I have used the
same kernel configuration for the two boards, so this problem should
not appear.
The EDK projects are diffent in these two cases, but not too much. In
XtremeDSP I have 2 Uarts instead of one, but the rest of the project
is quite similar in both cases.
The process of writing and reading from the Flash and the DDR memory
(cp.b $(clobstart)....) is OK, so I guees that the problem is not in
the memories.
In U-boot I configured botargs with 'console=ttyS0,115200'.
Do you have any hint of what could be happening? I could send you my
.config file if you want.
Thanks in advance to all of you.
Kind regards,
Pablo Colodron
