So, if you look into the MMU / glibc toolchain build scripts, you can
see a patch that disables building of libstdc++.  Simply re-enabling
this doesn't work, the build fails.  We've not had the time to
investigate why.  If you make any progress there please let us know.

C++ for noMMU/uClibc works fine, BTW.  It's just the MMU/glibc where
it's absent.
