Re: [microblaze-uclinux] u-boot error 'end address not on sector boundary' on ml403

The UART is really mapped at the given address. This is what I read in XPS. I run petalinux-copy-autoconfig, so there shouldn't be any problem.

No boot command is specified via 'make menuconfig'. This filed is left empty. Since I'm not really an expert, I'm not sure what I should put here...

I'll re-check my procedure, but I won't be able to do it before Monday :-(. If you have any other idea in the meanwhile, don't hesitate to share it with me.

I had this problem too,
mmmh,
What is your boot command ? The one passed to the linux kernel ?
It should not have any console=... argument.

I know that this is a typical issue that a lot of newcomers face with
PetaLinux. Other people reported it also, but I'm still not able to resolve
it. Typically, it may come from badly mapped console (early printk), but it
seems that for it is not the case.

mmmh, your CONFIG_SERIAL_UARTLITE and CONFIG_SERIAL_UARTLITE_CONSOLE
are set as they should.

Is your UARTLITE really map on address 0x84000000 ?
CONFIG_XILINX_UARTLITE_0_BASEADDR=0x84000000

I don't know if a new configuration with XPS cannot change this.
Make sure you run `petalinux-copy-autoconfig` from your XPS project dir.

No more idea.

Hopping it helps
Nicolas
