You mean why to use Petalinux instead of the prebuilt version ?
Their is several good reasons :
First because the prebuilt version only runs on windows
Secondly because I have other applications that allready are running
on the petalinux-glibc-MMU platforms.
Thirdly because their is more community support on an up-to-date
version and that using an up-to-date solution allows to evolve with
new technologies.
Their is other minor reasons but just that three are enough for me.
